We look forward to sharing their progress with you when progress reports go home at the beginning of February.

As a reminder, our next district early release will take place this coming Thursday, January 15. Students will be dismissed at 1:00 pm.

Guidance from SFSD Nurses

Dear families/guardians,

We hope you and your family enjoyed a restful and healthy winter break. As we have welcomed students back to school over the past week, we would like to share a few important reminders to help keep our school community healthy, especially as illnesses tend to increase during the winter months.

Here are some reminders on how we can all do our best to stay healthy:

· Please remember to keep your student home from school if they are sick.

o See the attached guidance on when students should stay home and may return to school if ill.

o If they are sick, we recommend you consult with their medical provider.

o If your student tests positive for Flu, RSV, COVID-19, or any other communicable disease, please let us know.

· Regular handwashing is one of the best ways to remove germs, avoid getting sick, and prevent the spread of germs to others.

· Covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue or sleeve

· Avoiding close contact with others who are sick

· Cleaning frequently touched surfaces

· Healthy routines including good nutrition, adequate sleep and physical activity

It is our hope that this update will encourage us all to continue to follow routines that keep us healthy.

Sincerely,

Silver Falls School Nurse Consultants
