Happy School Resource Officer Appreciation Day to Officer Aljets! We sure appreciate all you do to support the Silver Falls School District.
Youth Truth Survey
Again this year, the Silver Falls School District has partnered with Youth Truth -- a non-profit organization that supports hundreds of schools and districts across the country -- to gather anonymous input from staff, students, and parents about school culture, engagement, relationships, communication & feedback, school safety, resources, and more.
Please take 15 minutes to help us by completing this survey. Your input is important to help guide improvement in our school and district.
Take the Family Survey between now and February 27 by clicking this link: ytsurvey.org/sfsdfamily26
Please note:
The survey needs to be completed in one sitting.
We ask that one member of each household fill out the survey.
If you have more than one child who attends the same school, you may respond to the survey multiple times - one time per child.
If you write any comments, please do not include your name or anything else that might identify you. Your responses are anonymous, and they will be combined with the responses of other parents and guardians before being shared back with school and district leadership.
We appreciate and take to heart clear, thoughtful comments that are communicated respectfully.
Your feedback is really helpful to us at Robert Frost. Thanks for taking the time to complete this survey, and please let me know if you have any questions.

February 16: No school, President’s Day
This month, our schoolwide character trait focus is Kindness. At Robert Frost Elementary, we are committed to helping students grow not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. Kindness plays such an important role in creating a positive and supportive school community.
Next week, we will celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week! Each class has been participating in daily acts of kindness to help others — whether that’s including a friend at recess, offering words of encouragement, helping a classmate, writing kind notes, or showing appreciation to staff members. It has been wonderful to see our students intentionally choosing kindness each day.
We encourage you to ask your students how they have been showing kindness to others this month. These conversations at home help reinforce the importance of empathy, compassion, and caring for one another.
Thank you for partnering with us as we continue to build a school community where everyone feels valued and supported.
