Student Expectations for SHS Home Events
With the start of school and fall athletic season at Silverton High School and district schools, please take a moment and remind your students of following information to students regarding expected behavior at McGinnis Stadium for SHS athletic events.
The intent of the following is to keep all our events safe and enjoyable for everyone to watch.
Silverton High School Football and Soccer Games
Silver Falls School District students are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner at all
high school contests. Students (middle school and younger) can either sit with their family in the
grandstand or they can be in the northwest section of the stadium in the Future Foxes Zone. K-8
students and younger are not to be in the high school section.
Students are not to be in the visiting team fan section before, during or after the game. Visiting
teams and spectators are our guests and will be treated with respect.
Once a student leaves the stadium during the game, they are NOT ALLOWED to return.
SFSD staff members are paid by the SFSD to supervise SFSD students. Students asked to do
something by these staff members are expected to comply.
This is a school district event, and school policies are enforced.
No footballs, soccer balls, etc. will be allowed inside the stadium area. Students are not to use
bicycles, skateboards, or scooters within the track/stadium areas.
No backpacks allowed.
No students are to be inside the barricades that surround the playing area.
All need to remain off the playing field until the end of the game.
Students are not allowed to enter the stadium with open containers including Dutch bros and coffees,
personal water bottles, soda bottles and cans, etc.

What a fantastic first week of school! It was wonderful to see our students back in the building, full of energy and ready to learn. This week we reviewed expectations, settled into routines, and jumped right into learning.
Our staff did a phenomenal job creating a positive start for our students, and I am so grateful for their hard work and dedication.
Thank you to our families for partnering with us to make this such a smooth and successful start to the year. Have a great weekend!
Go Bears and Go Foxes!
